Fringed Sticks and Stones

Fringed Sticks and Stones

Inspiration for this bracelet came from Karina Kimpell's Mosaic Checkerboard Bracelet. Karina is the owner of Bead Culture, a bead store in Jackson, MI. My design uses bugles to create stripes (sticks) in between buges and seed beads to create the mosaic (stones). The bracelet is so light-weight, you almost forget you have it on. I fringed the end and added a snap to make an invisible closure. This bracelet is perfect to wear with your jeans on those casual Fridays and add a little class to the workplace.

Bead Dreamers

Forty years of friendship, artistic passion, and a desire to share their beading knowledge and designs led to the creation of Bead Dreamers. Based in Minnesota, Bead Dreamers is the showcase for our original jewelry designs. Introduced to off-loom bead weaving in 1994, Bead Dreamers has been has been designing jewelry, authoring and illustrating patterns, teaching and doing trunk shows for the past 12 years at bead shops, bead societies and guilds, and bead shows at a local and national level.

Our design philosophy is to design for the novice to intermediate bead artist but to incorporate elements that appeal to the advanced bead artist and to keep the time to finish a project between three to ten hours.

Our patterns provide detailed, step-by-step instructions with full-color illustrations to guide you through every step of the project. Certain patterns also offer accompanying kits that include the necessary beads and supplies to complete the project.

Beading is a dynamic, versatile art form that has brought us years of enjoyment. We wish to bring that joy to you, and to assist you in developing or advancing your foundation in technique and to help instill in you the self-confidence to design and create on your own.

All patterns are original, copyright protected, Bead Dreamers designs and cannot be reproduced, distributed, sold or taught without written consent of Bead Dreamers. If you have any questions, please contact us at beaddreamers@gmail.com.
